I had 2 attempts on Mt. Rainer. I turned back at the edge of the Muir Snowfield. Winds gusting to 50, snow was “falling” hozionally.
At Ingraham Flats I made two mistakes with my gear. My guide wisely said. “This is as high as you climb.” By the time I reached the bottom of the Muir Snowfield my 65 year old body was spent.
